New client and graphic design firm Matblack came to us with a beautifully simple brief, primarily requiring the foiling of GF Smith Colorplan paper. Although a simple process, it's usage has to be carefully considered as it is not always entirely appropriate. Basically, we believe that you shouldn't use foil for foils sake. In this instance, the monochromatic design called for white foil on black Colorplan for the business cards, with a black-printed header white-foiled on the letterheads. The process suited the job perfectly, with a pin-sharp final result and a happy client.
